Cliffside Acres Wedding : Columbus, Ohio - Eli + Kelsey

There is nothing like an outdoor, fall wedding in Ohio (especially when it’s at a new venue) - Cliffside Acres near Columbus. From beginning to end, there was much laughter, joy and all the happy tears. Kelsey had a beautiful cape instead of a veil, Eli had a record made for Kelsey with their first dance song and Kelsey even made the lovely invite suite too. These two are such a creative, humble pair. Down to every last detail - it all meant something. It’s such an unusual perspective to have as the photographer because I get to see so many parts of a wedding day that others don’t have the chance to see. There’s so much depth and story I have access to and I always strive to share the best way I know how. Truly it was a privilege to immerse myself into their day and provide something to look back on for many, many years to come. Enjoy, friends!

East Fork State Park Engagement: Cincinnati, OH - Eli + Kelsey

To be in Eli and Kelsey’s presence is to be filled with joy. It was truly the most lovely evening spent together at East Fork State Park...documenting them and then also learning more about how they met, their interests, their shared love of animals. It’s such a privilege to know and adore people like Eli and Kelsey. Eli is a tattoo artist in Dayton, Ohio. Kelsey is a designer with all sorts of talents herself. But they don’t take themselves too seriously because they laughed the entire way through our time together. I’ll always have a special place in my heart for these two and the photos below bring me right back to that warm evening with the most beautiful sunset. Enjoy the joy below.

Downtown Cincinnati Engagement - Maddie + Dan

What a fun afternoon it was to trot around Mt. Adams in downtown Cincinnati with Maddie and Dan. We hung out in Maddie’s beautiful parent’s home overlooking the river first while pouring some champagne and then ventured downtown to Smale Riverfront Park - a place named after Maddie’s grandfather. This city holds a lot of family history for these two and it was such an honor to capture their love with Cincinnati as a backdrop. It’s only fitting that their wedding will take place at Smale Riverfront Park soon here. I love getting to know my couples during their engagement session because it provides so much context towards their wedding day and their life stories up until the point of marriage. All that to say, you really can’t go wrong with a blustery, fall evening amongst some urban landscapes.

The Factory Events Wedding, Cincinnati Ohio - Emily + Jake

It’s truly such an honor to capture someone’s big day and Emily and Jake’s wedding at The Factory here in Cincinnati, Ohio was certainly a massive honor. Both Emily and Jake have such creative spirits and it was so fun to show up on there wedding day and see how it represented them both so well. With every single touch. The simplicity and ease of their day gave me a lovely chance to capture everyone and everything as it was. I hope you can look through these images and feel like you were there too. That is always my hope - to evoke memories and the nostalgia they hold. Enjoy, friends!

Modern, Downtown Cincinnati Elopement: Jane + Alex

What a glorious gift to take part in what you’re about to see below. Jane and Alex reached out to me about a month prior and I knew I had to say yes to capturing their day. Something about them seemed magical and I wasn’t wrong. It was a nearly 60 degree day in December when they exchanged vows and rings atop a quiet hill overlooking downtown Cincinnati. They gathered with their immediate family members and it was so lovely and intimate. The light was golden, the tears were streaming and the magical evening flew by so quickly. After talking a walk for photos, they landed at Please downtown for a private dinner. I love seeing how couples put all tradition out the window and truly do what they feel represents them best. In this case, Jane and Alex wanted to keep their day intimate and they did just that.

Mojave East Wedding: Cincinnati, Ohio - Sam + Zane

This wedding day at Mojave East here in Cincinnati, Ohio? What a LOVELY day. There’s not much I can say to justly and fully introduce their story, though a single word comes to mind when thinking back - connection. Wedding days are a true whirlwind from beginning to end; a full day goes by in what feels like a flash. In the midst of the day flying by, there are tiny moments happening all around - two families and sets of friends coming together to celebrate love? It’s truly a recipe of all the things that we crave as humans: connection and community. Sam and Zane had exactly that through and through - so many wonderful humans coming together to celebrate their love. It was one of those days where I left their reception with tired feet, but a full heart.

Press play, sip on a beverage and enjoy.

O'Maine Studios Wedding: Portland, Maine - Chloe + Drew

When Drew and Chloe reached out about their wedding at O’Maine Studios in Maine, you can imagine my pure excitement. I fully understand now why they decided to have their wedding in this coastal wonderland. The breath-taking views, sweater-weather, fresh food, and friendly locals made it such a lovely place to say “I do” and spend the weekend. We celebrated their love in downtown Portland with their closest friends and family (and a couple of seagulls too). Their ceremony had us all in tears, not to mention Drew reciting his heartfelt vows by memory is a moment I will never ever forget. It was so apparent how loved Chloe and Drew are - people traveled near and far and for good reason - to support two truly good humans. The images below give you a small look into their day and I hope it does justice what it felt like to be there in person.

Go hug someone after this, will ya?

Beachside Elopement: Portland, Oregon - Courtney + Marcel

I can’t believe I’m just now blogging this, but I had the chance to attend Let’s Go Workshop last November in Portland, Oregon and it was one of the best educational experiences I’ve had yet as a wedding photographer. It was a week full of so much community and I highly recommend it to any creative out there looking for that extra push. There were a few shoots scheduled during the workshop and I had the chance to spend some time with a couple there, Courtney and Marcell. Yes, they’re as lovely as they look. Believe it or not, they got engaged a couple months after the workshop took place and I’m so over the moon for them. If you’re wondering what Manzanita Beach looks like on the Oregon Coast, you’re in for a treat. We had unusually sunny skies that day and I loved every second.

Take a gander.
